I just finished a two credit Epidemiology in Nursing Class that required an unbelievable amount of written work. I found Mosby's Understanding Epidemiology to be excessively wordy. It offers little more than an inchoate jumble of Epidemiological principles and concepts. This book is ill suited for those looking to learn the fundamentals of Epidemiology. I ended up taking out Barbara Valanis's Epidemiology in Health Care from the library, and working from that. Wish I hadn't shelled out the 35 bucks for this book.
